We’re committed to continuously improving our health, safety, quality and environmental performance so we can work with our clients and other service providers to deliver high quality, safe and efficient services. Our biggest priority on every job is to ensure site personnel and road users are kept safe, even in challenging conditions or situations that arise unexpectedly. All sites are surveyed before any work begins, so we can compose detailed risk assessments and method statements. As a result, we have an excellent safety record.

We comply with third party guidelines such as Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, as well as employing our own Health & Safety Officer to ensure the high standards we set for ourselves are maintained throughout every project. Headway is approved to ISO 9001 Sector Scheme 12 A, B and D standards, CHAS certified and Safe Contractor accredited. Around 90% of our workforce carry CSCS and CPCD cards.

This focus on safety extends to the maintenance of our plant and equipment, all of which are serviced and operated by trained personnel.
